Using cover integration instead of switch

Good evening man, i'm trying to use cover entity instead of a switch for driving my doors (garage/gate) and regular doors, but, the popup_ is preventing me to achieve the proper results, since it don't handle very well the types of "covers" described here: https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/cover/

Are in your plans something to help us with that?
