Lack of navigability #6

Open jinnhl opened 2 years ago

jinnhl commented 2 years ago

Problem: Getting to the table of content in UG and DG requires manual scrolling

Reason: Jumping from the table of contents to a specific feature is simple with the links provided, however, to go back to the table of contents the user is required to either scroll or page-up all the way to the top of the document (UG, DG are 26, 41 pages respectively). Due to the high likelihood of back and forth navigation, the severity is medium.

Team's Response

We reject this issue as it's possible for the user to press the "Home" button on the keyboard to return to the top of the document

 Issue response

Team chose [response.Rejected]

Reason for disagreement: Though this is a possibility, this was not stated in any of the guides and hence I feel like we cannot write off the lack of navigability because of this. Technically we could ctrl-f to find every feature we want and we would not need to have hyperlinks in our documents or the table of content. Due to the fact that they know how to create such a feature (using hyperlinks) and the lack of clarification to improve navigability, I disagree with the dev team's response.
