The longest word in the English dictionary according to Merriam-Webster and other sources is 45 characters long. As such, this is used to prevent misuse by the users.

Reason for disagreement: I'm not sure why skills have to be restricted to one word. Multi-tasking, time management, graphic design, customer service are all words that are more than 1 word. Applicants might also wish to expand acronyms like SEO implementation, ERP systems or CSR initiatives.
