Description

We have developed a Flask-based news aggregator application that currently includes multiple sections such as Business, Entertainment, and Cryptocurrencies. Each section pulls articles from an external news API and displays them in a user-friendly manner. The project needs enhancements and additional features to improve its functionality and user experience.

Tasks

Business Section

• File: business.html
• Description: Displays news articles related to the business world. Articles include an image, title, description, and content. The color scheme uses black text that changes to purple on hover, with purple headers for titles.
• Improvements:
  • Add pagination for better article navigation.
  • Include a search function within the business section.
  • Improve mobile responsiveness.

Entertainment Section

• File: ent.html
• Description: Displays news articles related to entertainment. Similar to the business section, it uses black text with purple hover effects, and purple headers.
• Improvements:
  • Implement a carousel feature for displaying top articles.
  • Optimize image loading for faster performance.
  • Add a filter option to sort articles by date or popularity.

Crypto-Currencies Section

• File: crypto.html
• Description: Focuses on news articles about cryptocurrencies, following the same layout and style as the other sections.
• Improvements:
  • Introduce a live cryptocurrency price ticker.
  • Add a "related articles" feature to suggest similar content.
  • Enhance the visual appeal with background images or animations.

General Enhancements

• File: layout.html
• Description: The base layout template used across all sections.
• Improvements:
  • Add a dark mode toggle for better accessibility.
  • Improve the overall color scheme to make it more visually appealing.
  • Ensure all pages are fully responsive across different devices and screen sizes.

Additional Notes

• Review the current codebase for any potential bugs or code optimizations.
• Consider adding automated tests for each section to ensure reliability.
• Documentation for how to run and contribute to the project should be updated to reflect any new changes.
