Shared document (Etherpad) closes automatically #8109

This is a resurrection of #5785, because I cannot reopen the issue that got automatically closed by the stalebot:

Description

When one opens the shared document (Etherpad) it gets closed as soon as another person speaks and that person's video gets focused. The only way to circumvent this at the moment, is to focus on the own video before opening etherpad.

Current behavior

Dominant speaker gets focus and the shared document is closed.

Expected Behavior

Shared document stays open even if other people speak.

Possible Solution

Disable dominant speaker gets focus while shared document is open. Enable it when the shared document gets closed.

Steps to reproduce

Open a meeting with 3 or more people (also works with 2 people already). Open shared document. Let the dominant speaker change Shared document gets closed. Environment details:

@saghul Any good suggestions? I think it's inevitable now

Hi everyone. This is a problematic bug, as this also happens when someone enters or leaves the meet, and is really anoying. Does someone has a fix or a workaround?

Hi - I also experience this bug. Is this easily reproducible or would some logs be helpful for fixing this? What information could help the devs here?
