Using ffmpeg-droplet with Hazel App #1

I love the droplet, but is there a way to change it from being a droplet to taking a file (which Hazel sends as a variable called "theFile") and process that file through the droplet? Here's a couple screenshots of what is possible with Hazel.

Basically I'm looking to automate the creation of Animated GIFs that are automatically dropped into a folder - or am I missing something super simple to do the same thing?

I've never used Hazel. But if Hazel passes in the file as a variable theFile, then all you have to do is modify my GIF droplet to using theFile instead of how it runs currently. Open the droplet using Script Editor. Instead of putting all the code inside "on open names", put the code inside "on run". And remove the repeat "repeat with itemnum from 1 to count of names", just use the variable theFile.
