Really I'm interested in the "Drive" rebranding w.r.t. the googlecl and gdata
projects. `google docs ... ` still works fine.
Really what I'm more interested in is the likelihood that the "--no-convert"
option may become available to non "Premier" users. Or even, when they
eventually do release a Linux client, that will immediately solve a lot of the
things I was trying to do with google-cl/gdata. (Really I'm after drop-box like
functionality, like InSync provides for Windows)

Raise your own separate topic please rather than hijacking mine.
I know Google docs still works. My mobile phone is nagging me to convert to
Google Drive...I keep saying no to keep it as Google Docs.
Can someone here confirm ->> Does googlecl work if I convert to Google Drive?

I wasn't trying to hijack your topic, and my reply was not clear... I have
"converted" to Google Drive, and it seems to have no impact on googlecl -- my
`docs` commands still work.

Whew. Converted - no impact here either. I am surprised and disappointed that
there is still no official information to confirm googlecl also supports google
drive.

I guess the googlecl is a dead project, since last updates are from over a year
ago. For me the googlecl doesn't even work with the newest gdata, so I have
forced my system not to update gdata anymore. I hope that the soon to be (or
not to be) Linux client will offer the functionality I need.

I hope it is not a dead project!
Googlecl is the only way I know to provide automated independent local data
backups at the moment. Such things are important for me and my customers.
Perhaps a moderator can re-assure?
I can confirm the versions in Debian Squeeze seem to be peachy.

I have noticed that when uploading to Google Drive using googlecl, the --folder
switch does not seem to work. It knows whether the folder or subfolder exists,
but the file is always uploaded to the root directory. Anyone know a fix for
this?
