PS3 sixaxis controller crashes any game. used to work perfectly in the past before version 1.85. #29

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. boot almost any game with ps3 sixaxis controller and any version of
nintendont on or after version 1.85 in Wii U.
2. the game either crashes instantly or crashes within a minute in game, and
the Wii U has to be restarted by pulling the power cord.

Tested with games MGS twin snakes (both US and EU versions), resident evil
remake, metroid prime 1 and 2, luigi's mansion.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The games should work normally. The games used to work normally with the
sixaxis controller in Wii U in version 1.83. Version 1.85 appears to have
broken conbatibility with the PS3 sixaxis controller.

What revision of Nintendont are you using? On what system Wii/Wii U?

Tried both nintendont version 1.85 and the latest verion to date, i.e. 1.94, on
vWii in Wii U. Both versions have the same issue. The problem does not exist in
version 1.83.

did some more testing. version 1.84, i.e. r84 appears to have broken PS3
controller compatibility. It still works for some games, but only for a few
seconds after which the game crashes. r83 used to work perfectly with PS3
controllers. I am curious to know which controller the devs are using to test
the latest versions because it can't be a PS3 controller.
