Context: Contestants in Amazing Race face obstacles, either part of the show or given by other teams. This system is an add-on to the earlier weekly match-up system
Goal: As part of weekly match-ups, top players of the week will be awarded an "obstacle" to give out to other contestants in future rounds at their discretion. These obstacles will be modeled after ones that exist in the Amazing Race.
We want to incentivize players to:
Have extra impact on the current week's matchup.
Have impact on the general standings (e.g. sabotage their closest competitor in standings, not necessarily their direct opponent)
Description:
Obstacles will be modeled after the name and action of those in the race. Obstacles can be used on any player (including oneself unless otherwise stated).
Yield: Force a player to replace 1 of their 3 chosen teams for the week.
U-Turn: Force a player to choose only 1 team for the week. That team will gain triple points.
Intersection: Shuffle the players of two different match-ups.
Head-to-Head: Choose 2 players, both player's scores will be the average of their team's scores that week.
