I was wondering if anybody had this same issue.
When Zabbix is making his checks while Veeam is doing a backup job (every nights for me), there is a chance Veeam will breaks; then, all items in zabbix using the PS script will turn "timeout", and the Veeam Service (on Veeam Server) is not responding anymore (can't login), and can't be restarted. There's no alert nor error, Veeam just stop writing his logs the moment it goes dumb and never recover. When you restart the whole server, the recovered Veeam Service isn't even complaining about jobs that did not start... Creepy...
Environment
Zabbix 3.2
Veeam 9
Monitoring 10 jobs - 4 items per job (40 checks cycle)
ZBX Agent Timeout: 10 seconds (and still missing data)
Note
This issue happened every night (when there's some jobs running), it randomly breaks on a different job each time. Same result with Active and Passive Zabbix Agent.
Workaround
For now, I will scheduled Zabbix interval to only check when there's no jobs running.
