Firefox and the dash/underscore key #224

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.on Firefox dash/underscore key next to zero on top row doesn't work

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
We expect a dash or underscore but there is no output at all.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
default loaded with Unraid 5rc11 via unmenu

Please provide any additional information below.

Shellinabox was installed to unRaid 5rc11 via unmenu and accessed via tower:4500

In Firefox, the - and the _ key (beside the zero key on the top row) do not
work. In Chrome, this works fine. I was surprised that even the control-c key
works fine. Not sure what is going on with the dash key, but it seems to be
consistent on several computers here.

This is a known issue (issue 202). There are working patches there, although
they must be manually applied for now.

Same problem with FF 31.3.0 using a:
- US keyboard the <dash> and <underscore> do not appear
- NL keyboard the <dash> and <equal> do not appear (<underscore> works)
Were for the both keyboard layouts this boils down
to the <dash> and the shifted <dash> character.
