Thanks
Jondalar, are you able to setup a tvheadend streaming profile that doesn't require transcoding by plex? Plex is still transcoding streams for me for Apple TV.
Hi,
I am experimenting with it right now, not quite there yet, but once I am I will add some info on it. It needs to be h.264 and „create“ a .mp4 for sure, faac/aac audio. My problem is currently that my machine is not strong enough (tvh runs in a vm here at the moment).
Still I thought it makes sense to hand the parameter through, so people can actually play with it. See my latest try:
I haven’t figured yet how to tell the DVR (guess I need to set up a new instance) in PLEX to accept the stream… Must be one of the transcoding settings there as well.
Cheers Alex

Maybe you need to tell it it is one of the HD HomeRun Extends?

Excellent thought ... I am struggling to find a list settings that an Extend would show when the discover.json is called.
Enable to make use of the tvh internal streaming profiles for ad hoc transcoding, e.g. to deliver a proper .mp4 stream to Plex so it works with appletv/iOS devices without the need of transcoding.
