My operating system is fedora 40. I use Gnome. I use two brightness gnome plugins, both serving different purposes. The first brightness plugin is a DDC (ddcutil) plugin that can adjust the brightness and contrast of the screen directly from the monitor settings, and a hardware brightness plugin that can adjust the brightness directly from the monitor settings interface. The second is the soft-brightness-plus (v.19) plugin, which is a software brightness setting that I use at night because the monitor still throws brightness around even when the hardware brightness setting is 0. This plugin allows me to reduce the brightness of the monitor at the operating system level with software. It has the effect of setting the brightness below 0. It was working until yesterday (until September 17, 2024). Today it is not working. When I activate it, the operating system freezes. When I move the adjustment button left and right, it also freezes and does not adjust.

On the gnome sheel plugins website the software is version 19. will there be no update? I was surprised to see version 40 on your github page.
