Applying bold/italic formatting in contenteditable is normalized out #612

Select text in contenteditable, use ctrl-b or ctril-i to style. The styles remove when you click out.

Does this always happen, or only after pasting some kinds of things?

Bisect says 64cdda72fa475fbb460fbff9ed460b855033bece broke it, which makes sense
