@hdrake - I was hesitant to make xesmf an explicit dependency. Since xesmf installs best from conda-forge (and less so from PyPi), I was worried it might limit pathways for installing the momgrid package.

Hmm, yes I see. Maybe we should just add a note about this in the landing page README?
