i also forgot to mention that it sometimes changes my entire objects location also
Hey, is your object animated, or does it have any constraints? Orient to Selected does change the rotation of the object origin (the whole point of the operation) but it shouldn't change the location of the origin. If you can share a file with an example, I'll check it out and see what could be going wrong.
My thought is maybe the object is parented?

thank you very much for replying , my object is not animated but what kind of file do you request png or blend file

its not its just a low/mid poly model

i tried to undo but it messed up my mesh's previous data
dear sir i don't want to be rude but sometimes when i press the button to orient to selected it changes my objects origin(though i am in edit mode)
some cases where i ignored this issue i lost hours of progress
its up to you if you want to take action upon my statement
