dear sir i don't want to be rude but sometimes when i press the button to orient to selected it changes my objects origin(though i am in edit mode)

some cases where i ignored this issue i lost hours of progress

its up to you if you want to take action upon my statement

akbartalpur19 commented 3 months ago

i also forgot to mention that it sometimes changes my entire objects location also

Hey, is your object animated, or does it have any constraints? Orient to Selected does change the rotation of the object origin (the whole point of the operation) but it shouldn't change the location of the origin. If you can share a file with an example, I'll check it out and see what could be going wrong.

My thought is maybe the object is parented?
