Synctex not found by Zathura pdf-viewer #25

I installed the full version of texlive from https://www.tug.org/texlive/ and read it should come with synctex but when I compile Zathura pdf-viewer which needs synctex as a dependency, I get:

Dependency synctex found: NO

I located all the files on my system belonging to synctex as seen below and tried adding /usr/local/texlive/2018/bin/x86_64-linux/ to LIBRARY_PATH and export it, but it didn't work either.
