Should moving of files not reduce the size and number of items in the storage folder ? #636

I want to convert all my attachments to a linked attachments folder by selecting all items and 'rename and move' the attachments with Zotfile. If I do this, Zotero runs at 100%+ a couple of hours, and then seems to stop this activity. Suggesting that it's doing and finishing something.

However, this does not remove the items in the storage folder. Neither the size nor the number of items of the storage folder are reduced. Zotfile does moves attachments into the right folder when I add new items with attachments. But it doesn't appear to work for bulk moving.

In my case, I did similar things as you did. It did reduce the size of the default storage folder by a significant amount. But for some items, it does copy the PDFs to my linked folder (One-Drive folder), but some PDFs are still left in the default storage folder too.
