This could be a duplicate of #499 and #398. The solutions and explanations proposed there might solve your issue. 🤞
Thank you so much for your help! Turns out, Firefox automatically tries to install .xpi files as Firefox add-ons when they are left-click downloaded, which is not what we want. As seen #499 and #398, we want to install Zotfile using the Zotero Add-ons tool. The quick fix: right-click the link and choose "Save as link". This will download the file to your computer and you can proceed with the installation in Zotero.
If you want more comprehensive details on how to deal with this issue in Firefox, I found solutions here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/961164.
Hi devs!
I'm trying to install Zotfile on a new computer, but Firefox is flagging the download as corrupt. Just a heads up!
Best wishes, Kate
