Conversion ended successfully without a conversion #55

My Video file is picked up in the watch folder but the conversion ends "successfully" even though nothing is converted. I got this message in my log file

mv: can't rename '/output/./filename.mp4': No such file or directory

Could you also provide log/hb/conversion.log ? You can find it in the directory you mapped to /config.

Fixed with image version 1.17.0.

The failure should now be properly reported.

can you give me a hint on why the conversion fails?

It seems that you are encountering the following issue:

https://github.com/HandBrake/HandBrake/issues/2047

The workaround is to remove the following line from your preset file:

"PictureRotate": "0:0",

Hi Jocelyn - thanks for the great docker container. I also hit this same problem, and debugged it independently, eventually arriving here when about to create an issue to describe the solution :)

Anyway, just thinking it may be worthwhile adding a note about this under your already comprehensive documentation for the docker image, as it seems like it might be a common failure people could hit when trying auto conversion for the first time.

You can also work around the issue by changing the offending line in the preset to:

"PictureRotate": "angle=0:hflip=0"
