Might be too late already, but in case you still need this please check updated readme.

I am also facing the very same problem. I have tried other methods on google to build the packages for 20 bit support to run the code in contiki but with no success. Whenever I try to build the packages they come up with errors. This is the problem with all the methods. I have installed ubuntu from scratch twice but am unable to figure out why this problem comes up. Please help.

Are you trying 20 bit compilation support for contiki? Here is the solution https://github.com/pksec/msp430-gcc-4.7.3
