UnaiGar commented 10 months ago

hello good afternoon and merry christmas, I would like to uninstall refind but in the instructions it says that I have to put the rEFInd EFI entry number, in the command to remove the boot partition but I don't know where to find this number.

how can i find it???

thx

jlobue10 commented 10 months ago

Just run efibootmgr and locate the number visually.

Arknight38 commented 10 months ago

where is the number located? I've been looking through the results and I'm not really sure what to put in.

Thanks

jlobue10 commented 10 months ago

Show me your efibootmgr output please.

From what you've shown me, you appear to be using Clover, not rEFInd. As for why Windows is booting straight back into Windows instead of Clover on next boot, that's not something I can answer or explain why as I haven't followed what that repo is doing about the firmware REALLY wanting to boot into Windows. My advice has been to just disable the Windows EFI entry enitrely and let the bootloader (rEFInd or Clover) control booting into Windows. I'd suggest opening an issue on that Clover repo, if you're not able to find a solution to your issue.

ComfyPlacebo commented 8 months ago

Yeah tried using Clover cause of said issue. I thought maybe it would fix my issue. So which one am i to delete? Boot0002 and boot0006? or just one? I read somewhere in here that you had to boot into ubuntu and use the console in there for it to stick?
