Uninstalling rEFInd and locating partitions #119

So i had a dualboot with widnwos set up however, I recently got an external SSD so I'm planning on installing it there, and I can't seem to be able to remove it. I went ahead and wiped the partion that had windows installed and fused back together with the steamOS one.

I am basically trying to remove rEFInd and anyone knows how can i differentiate which partition is for what? i have one for windows recoverey, steamOS recovery and rEFInd but I can't tell the difference between them and I'd like to remove the windows one for starters and then then uninstall rEFInd.

If you look on the main GitHub README page here, there are steps to disable/ remove rEFInd. What you may also want to do is remove the /esp/efi/Microsoft folder since you plan on reinstalling on its own external drive. These steps are assumed to be ran from SteamOS desktop mode (KDE Plasma session).

Yes, however, it requires me to replace xxx with the entry but i dont recall which one that is... and i cant tell them apart from the windows one either

this is what came out. I did see rEFInd, and managed to remove it. it was 0001. Now I have to deal only with windows but that's all good. Thanks, this helped me out a lot!
