Mini DP to HDMI creates crashes T440p #31

I did the install using your nice EFI folder. It works great.

The only problem is with the mini DP. It crashes when I use a HDMI adapter. Tested the KextsToPatch found by ChewyJetpack in the config.plist but it stills crashes.

Maybe I did it wrong patching the config.Plist file. Here is the screen capture in clover.

Do I have to do something else ?

Strange. I used the EFI folder provided here on my T440P without modifications and I get mini DP out to HDMI with an adapter I bought off of Amazon without issue.

Lucky for you. I cannot make it work with Mojave 10.14.6. Several persons told that a change in the MacOs revision made the problem appear. Are you on 10.14.6 ?

You seem to have differnt 0 count the actual 8: 0x00080000 vs 00008000 for the second port. Could that be the issue?

Were you able to solve the problem? I'm having the same issue. Plug in the HDMI and the system crashes.

I changed the processor from I5 4300M to an i7 4910MQ to have more horse power not expecting any improvement on this issue and unexpectidly I no longer have the issue now.

I can plug the HDMI and it works.

It seems that the previous processor was not compatible (HD graphics) with the drivers.

Interesting. I've got the 4900MQ cpu. It's all still Intel HD Graphics 4600 though. I wonder if there's something wrong with my config for the cpu graphics.

Could you please share the settings you used on Hackintool? Might help others to overcome the same issue.

Sorry. I used clover to tweak the config.plist file not hackingtool. The values that I used are in the screenshot. They are based on the chewyjetpack suggestions in the tonymacx86 thread for t440p. It only worked though after I changed my processor.
