Only 7mb GPU ram #52

What am I doing wrong?

Well that works hmm But now I have problems with hardware acceleration.

I only get 7mb of GPU ram :(

Check Whatevergreen kext is installed and working. This is pretty common problem related to graphics recognition.

Turns out my IME is broken :/ Tried hardware flashing the chips, But the 8mb one is broken (the one with me). New board ships tomorrow :D

macOS utilizes CPU's integrated graphics chip, it's not on the motherboard. The Nvidia GPU which is soldered on the motherboard is disabled by default.

Yes I know But MacOS needs the intel management engine to initialise the igpu

Got the new mainboard and swapped it out.

Works like a charm :)
