Smaller sound volume than that of previous AppleALC #83

After I updated to VoodooHDA version of EFI, the audio worked well, but the sound from the laptop speaker seem quieter (even in max volume), even quieter than AppleALC. Is there anything I can do to resolve this? (and yes, don't tell me to use a headphone, cuz sometimes it's a hassle to plug in a headphone or sometimes I don't have it in sight).

Thanks for updating!

P/s: Are you thinking of making an OC version (for supporting AirportItwlm.kext or Big Sur update)? I'm just asking if the SSDT here is working for OC or not.

Try this: mount EFI, go to VoodooHDA kext, click on show content, open the info.plist (i.e. in VS Code), and change the value of VoodooHDAEnableHalfVolumeFix to true, so it looks like this:

VoodooHDAEnableHalfVolumeFix

Can I open that Plist in Plist Editor? Cuz i'm afraid that it may break the plist file.

i guess so. I'm testing it right now myself

No it didnt help at all. The volume still sucks, can't hear much even in highest volume :<

Strange. For me the sound is alright.
