Try updating kexts and/or clover to latest version to see if it helps and report here.
i have tried this but it seems most are on newer versions, ive posted in 2 other places looking for the fix, im sure eventually someone with T440P will update and either have or not have this issue.
the things i have updated are Whatevergreen to 1.4.4 and Lilu to 1.4.9, also intelmausi ethernet 2.5.0d0
if you have any idea for settings i can try in clover i think it might fix it, i noticed there is a shutdown fix, but doesnt give me much hope it will work to fix reboot.
if i go to settings>startup disk and choose the disk (there is only 1 disk and 1 option) then click restart it works oddly enough, but then following this a normal restart still won't work
ok, i would say i have resolved this
steps
switched to opencore EFI
switched back to Clover EFI
Cleared NVRAM by pressing F11 at clover boot screen
booted up (problem was still not solved)
on the next reboot everything was back to normal
its very possible that an NVRAM clear without moving to opencore and back could also solve this issue, if anyone else is to run into it
successfully updated to 10.15.7 supplemental update but having 1 issue, when i go to reboot the laptop hangs, if i wait 20-30 mins it actually gets back into boot again but it basically freezed on black screen.
the fix is just hold power button to turn it off and reboot but this is not ideal obviously, since i use the computer closed in clamshell mode with a monitor its currently a bit of a pain, any help appreciated.
