Specifically, we propose to include the following clinical note types for both inpatient and outpatient (primary care, emergency department, etc.) settings in USCDI v1 as a minimum standard:

1) Discharge Summary note; 2) History & Physical; 3) Progress Note; 4) Consultation Note; 5) Imaging Narrative; 6) Laboratory Report Narrative; 7) Pathology Report Narrative; and 8) Procedures Note. We seek comment on whether to include additional note types as part of the USCDI v1.

It does seem to be missing "office notes" which would be helpful to ED docs everywhere.

It also seems weird that "Laboratory Report Narrative" is included, as I don't know what this means. Only use would be to map a set of labs to an individual lab result (like this CBC has this Hematocrit) ... or the interpretation of send out results ... Seems like this should be part of DiagnosticReport though ... Epic's FHIR already implements this in diagnosticReport but Cerner does not ... which makes it really painful to make Clinician facing FHIR apps with lab results and you have to guess about what belongs to what result set (ie if a potassium is hemolyzed and quickly reordered)
