2 years ago I contacted the Discord channel eduke32 - it turned out that due to a possible error, the game reacted this way to /home/pi/.steam/steam/steamapps/libraryfolders.vdf. No file no problem.
this looks like it's probably a bug in our code, I've downloaded the file and looked at it and since the apps section etc are just empty I bet we're stuck spinning in some while loop looking for a token that doesn't exist w/o taking the fact that it might not even exist at all into account
