ATI Graphice Cards Support #155

No entries displayed for X800 series ATI card (X800XT)

Unable to change name of Motherboard to friendly name.

The ATI X800XT card is no supported by the ADL (AMD display library) graphics 
driver interface anymore (most likely it has never been). Adding support would 
require some similar interface for these older cards, or a way to directly 
access the hardware. So far I do not have any information how to do this. Also 
older hardware disappears fast from the average users system, so adding support 
for new hardware has always a higher priority that adding some "backward" 
support.

In theory the mainboard should come with a friendly name. If this is not the 
case, then we should try to fix it. Can you attach a report (File -> Save 
Report...) of your system?

Thanks ..

This is an older machine with Asrock K7NF2-RAID. I think it's ok, and not 
obtrusive.
It was brought to my attention because of the system tray icon display 
icreasing too much in size when 125% large font size selected in Display 
Properties.
So hopefully the gadget display will be fixed with any fix on the tray display.
