Data location

some of them might be on github repo (NEFSC spatial), but they may not be the most up to date. Dana got them from people in her group. Dana will send new shapefile for Ocean Quahog that doesn't have rough edges. She will send the updated Scallop shapefile.

What is the type of data?

Shapefile

If Other, please specify data type

5 separate files (shrimp, clam, quahog, scallop, shellfish (historical))

Metadata

Program description: see InPort Atlantic Surfclam and Ocean Quahog Survey | InPort, Sea Scallop Survey | InPort, Northern Shrimp Surveys | InPort Frequency of update: Clam strata got adjusted a little to remove untowable bottom around 2018 or 2019. The scallop strata recently got adjusted. However, generally strata aren’t updated year to year. Where is metadata currently stored? InPort

Any data attributes that are non-spatial (e.g., stratum id)?

Yes

If Yes, please explain

-there are some, Dana does not have a README file. The data attributes are generally strata ID, depth, area. Some data attributes are unclear.

General description of project purpose and summary

-until recently there were strata for all shellfish, in 2018 they remade them to be separate strata (clam, quahog, scallop). This year the scallop survey was redone, Dana will send new file. Surf clam and quahogs are sampled together. See InPort for background information for each program.

Wind developer activity information

-Exact cable locations would be helpful to know, especially since shellfish surveys require dredging and could damage cables. Location of construction activity and structures in a given season would be helpful to know for survey planning.
