The ODIn has been running w/o major issue since 10/24. I only have samples in Rack A, but both Rack A and B were strapped on to the shaker. I've been out of town, monitoring data remotely. Today I'm back in the lab, and this is what the data looks like:
After visually inspecting the tubes, I noticed that Rack A, position 8 is the only one with clearly visible growth (bubbles have formed). This sample is also showing erratic readings in the plot, but the channel passed my inspections prior to starting the experiment.
I then watched the ODIn take it's readings and saw the reason - the linear actuator raised the platform, but the ODIn did not communicate with the shaker to turn it off. So it continued to shake with the platform raised. Luckily with only two racks strapped on the balance wasn't thrown off much, but it did put strain on the shaker.
I've checked that the PS/2 port is properly connected to the ODIn, though there are many spots in the cable connecting to the shaker where electrical tape has been wrapped around. I'll simply try unplugging and reconnecting first to see if that solves the issue.
