Digital modes data, digital voice, linking and more

A gathering place for thoughts on digital modes. With the sound card IO to the controller it should be possible to:

Use link radios for a data back bone to communicate between nodes.
encode/decode various digital formats, Dstar, DMR, Fusion, etc.
Natively support Echolink and or IRLP.
New (or old) open source digital voice codecs. add you thoughts and dreams or start working on some part of it.
