Surface format #8

Hello!

Thanks for this great tool/data set. One question, is it possible to:

1) Have the surfaces in standard GIFTI format (for instance they are missing the GeometricType and AnatomicalStructurePrimary fields. (which I can add easily to display this data in software like the connecotme workbench)

2) Is it possible that there are degenerate triangles? As in really big ones in the dataset? In particular triangles # 227070, 473282, 122468, 220367, 175286, 438943, 300528, 469021, 288074, 220415 seem really big.

Hi Demian,

Thanks for bringing this up! We can definitely work on getting the surfaces in GIFTI format, although if you already have them as such it would be great to just add them to the repo. Regarding your second point, there definitely may be larger than average triangles as we did not generate the surfaces with the idea to optimize the equality of triangle size. However, that being said, we are working on updates to the pipeline which include the creation of surfaces for each subject. In doing this we are ensuring that the template surfaces have as equally-sized triangles as possible. Feel free to email me if you have more specific questions on that.
