Is this an automatic thing? Does it cost resources to build a fort for a traveling battalion? What if there are no resources to build, do they die?
I was thinking that the "resource" it takes is just time (for now). We can always add other factors later.
Maybe even have different fort materials based on what resources are available in your current location! (Desert, plains, forest, mountains, etc.)
So would there be a difference between a fort built for a traveling group, and one established by the user?
Do you think this could replace the previous "base" idea altogether. I wasn't feeling it the way it was.
Possibly, I guess I was trying to hold onto the proximo idea of interacting with people around you... Lets discuss more
And yes, I was picturing it as an automatic thing. Since forts "degrade" over time then they can pop up and disappear all the time!
I'm liking this idea more and more. Especially the concept of strength based on occupancy time; this gives the decision to risk safety for riches, or stay put for safety
But there needs to be more of a benefit for staying put maybe....
For sure! We'll get it prototyped and see if any ideas pop up.
When battalions are stationary for a certain amount of time, they should start "hunkering down".
