Not parabolic -- rather hyperbolic. My mistake.
If groups are given a small distance to travel they should attempt it faster than if they are given a large distance. This will allow "sprinting" -- which should also create more fatigue and, without rest, continuous sprinting should lead to more unit desertion (or something like that).
This makes sense definitely -- I was also wondering how the speed would have to scale to the spread of players over time ... Just something I was wondering
Also I'm just trying look busy while being at my girlfriends Christmas party, so I don't have to talk to goons
Hahahaha, nice!
Can you explain more about how the speed would need to scale?
Well I'm thinking... Like if me and you were playing (only) we would need to fight between each other and get there in a reasonable amount of time ... Fast forward to 3 million players, across the globe, should it be easier for a first time player to fight someone in the other side of the globe? .... Not sure, but that's what I'm wondering
Good point. I'm not sure what it will be like in actual gameplay. I hope prototyping will give us some insight.
Battalions with zero units move instantaneously. This is probably a parabolic curve. We'll need to determine its scale.
