Crash after logging in. #10

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Trying to login.
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The expected output is that i should be able to use the program after logging
in, that's not the case though.
When i hit the login button it loads everything and comes to where it should,
but there's a popup saying "There was a unhandled error - Sorry! Please send
the debuginfo.log to one of us devs :)". And after clicking away the popup the
program stops working and shuts down.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I'm using v.0.0.1 which is the only one currently available. And i am using
Windows7.

Please provide any additional information below.
Well that's about it i think. Thanks for working on this.

This seems to be a culture related bug. I was able to replicate when setting my
culture info to swedish. Also added additional logging if this happens again.

I should probably add the fact that it happens every time and i have never been
able to come by the crash, and it's the same in the new version. Too bad that
i'm to used to having my computer in Swedish since otherwise i would've just
changed language.

This should be fixed in the next release. We were doing a decimal parse, and in
the swedish culture apparently, you use a comma? I updated this to be culture
invariant so it should be fixed. Sorry about that!

I wish i knew what you were saying, i'm not sure if you actually wanted me to
answer the question or if it was kind of a retorical~ish question. If i
understood what you meant i think you meant that you use decimal parses in the
code, which you do not do in Sweden. Now i'm rambling, sorry for that. Well
thanks for being as great as you are and good luck with all this!

Hej!

What you said is correct, being silly South Africans we expected everyone would
use . and not , ! Anyway, TDev has put a fix in for this, which will be in
v0.0.3 which we will release in a few hours.
