Can a feature be added to allow for configurable video files to be played before and/or after printing ?

I'm not sure how this would be achieved just thinking off the top of my head with how ffmpeg is ingesting the stream directly and applying overlays if enabled.

you could feed a video before but it it wouldn't be easy, with the current setup.
