Since these are too big to PR together, you may take a pick which one i should PR next :)

• Most interesting is prob the masking one.
• Shrinking also makes sense
• The ICE fix prob. not
• Disabling SQLite WAL to save on .backup - I am not convinced that this is safe, you might receive a corrupted copy. Unless you show me the part of the SQLite manual which says that this is safe.
• All the other small stuff I am also happy to accept as MR
