to get an idea about the statements that should be included. 
For example not just the link to parents and children but also their names and 
birth dates. Could that be made configurable? Perhaps with a 
subject-predicate-object(SPO)-query.

to let visitors stay in the foaf explorer we need some link in the form as in 
the previous comment for father/mother/child

figure if and how the converted gedcom should be split for submission to 
http://www.foaf-search.net it has priority over the foaf explorer
