Thoughts:

Layout of digits should be represented as 5x4 numpy arrays and saved as file for possible reuse in other applications.
Load all digit arrays in init()

It would be great if the clock only displays the system time and tries to sync time with the internet once when starting (but continues running if that fails). I would like to keep the table offline compatible.

Please add time synchronization with internet. The Pi Zero doesn't have a real-time clock built-in, hence the system time always desyncs when power is lost.
