Insightful analysis. As a consumer, I can definitely feel the creative bankruptcy that has been plaguing Disney but I never could articulate the driving forces behind the decline. However, I will say that I do not think the effect is homogeneous, i.e. not every Disney department is in create decline, and not all the time. I think Marvel is doing a good job of pushing creative boundaries with some of their recent additions (not all, obviously). I think there is a space for profits and creativity. You just need to work for it.
