Almost there... #12

Hi

When I saw 'Alexa, ask on the wall, say hello', it replies with the 'Hello my Queen' on my dot, but no text on my magic mirror. If I try any other invocation, I get 'there was a problem with the response' message on the echo.

I've got both this skill and the mirrormirroronthewall. Had to edit to custom slot type because im in the UK so have to use UK locale in the Alexa skill otherwise its a non-starter.

Seems like there is communication between my Echo, the skill and the response, but no communication to my Raspberry Pi3.

Any ideas?

Hi @cd360 Did you make any progress? Even I had faced the same issue.

Hey @anondemayan yes I have made some progress. YouTube is working when asking to play a video but the Google images don't work for me. It says there is a problem will the skills response even though I can see traffic using the Google api. Also the stop module commands don't work for me but to be honest I need to get some time to look at it again and go through it because it's been a few weeks.

@cd360 I'm able to get response for the input 'Alexa, ask on the wall to say hello' from the echo dot but nothing is displayed on the mirror. It will a lot helpful if you share your approach for fixing this issue.

@anondemayan I'll try and make some time to go through what I did last night. Check the other issues that have been logged here as I have elaborated some areas which may help in the meantime. Also have a look on the magic mirror builders forum for this skill as theres much more activity on there
