Histograms appear to be inaccurate #279

I am using a Nikon D7000 and Samsung S3 with dslrdashboard installed. It is
working fine and all functionality appears to be there. I can change settings,
focus, take photos and download the resultant file.

If I set the dashboard to Camera Manual mode and set an exposure that is
clearly under exposed, the exposure meter, bottom, centre, shows a minus ev
confirming that the exposure is wrong. The displayed histograms, however, show
a normally exposed shape, with the the tails of the curves approaching the 0
and 255 axes as one might expect a "classic" exposure to appear.

I am turning the histograms on via Live View settings. Am I doing something
wrong or am I misunderstanding the function. I have a photo of the screen which
demonstrates this.

Thank you.

Clive

The LV histogram is calculated from the LV image that is sent from the camera.
As the LV image is not reflecting exactly the camera settings (shutter,
aperture) the histogram will also not reflect those settings (think only the
D800 LV reflects the shutter/aperture changes but not sure).
