Dismissed Google Calendar Notfications sometimes reappear after a Pc Restart #66

I'm using Join on my Galaxy S7 in conjunction with my Pixel 3, Join Desktop on my Pc. I'm mirroring Google Calendar events from my S7 to the other devices because the S7 is permanently charging and therefore suited as the "base". My Pixel 3 is used to set up the Google Calendar events.

Sometimes, when dismissing one of those calendar events on Join Desktop it reappears after restarting my maschine. I've noticed notifications being affected by the issue that are from a couple of hours up to 1 day ago when the event is long past and not even displayed on the phone anymore.

While trying to reconstruct this issue I was struggling to attribute it to a certain cause.

~~The issue didn't occur when: -I dismissed notifications within the time span of the calendar event or at the period before the event if an x-minutes-beforehand-notification was set up. -The Pc was turned off during the time span of the calendar event -dismissing Homeassistant notfications made via the Join Homeassistant integration~~

~~The issue occured even though I: -dismissed the annoying, reappearing notification 1 day since it's passed either by clicking "dismiss everywhere" or by clicking "x" on the Join popup.~~

During the course of troubleshooting I restarted my pc multiple times, sometimes yesterdays' notification appeared, sometimes it didn't.

The issue occured when I created a new calendar event, pressed x on the Join Desktop notification within the event time span and restarted my pc. Yesterdays' notification doesn't show up anymore. I'm only seeing this most recent one. And I'm able to reconstruct the same behaviour after restarting my pc that yesterdays' notification exhibited.

I'm using the x button to momentarily get rid of notifications because they're blocking my screen while I'm in a video game or so and I can't click "dismiss everywhere" since that will remove it on my phone too, so I'll need a second monitor.

edit2: I'm also seeing notifications of the previous day that I dismissed, but I don't know what caused them to reappear, maybe it's some behaviour as a result of using standby on my pc.

Hi. Thanks for the report! What happens if you go into the app, open the notifications tab and dismiss all notifications with the button on the bottom right?
