A death knell of JoatU is lack of users actually using the site.
I'd like to see a statistic on people's profiles displaying how long it took them to first respond to their most recent message (Less than 1 day, 1 day, 2 days, 3 days, etc).
And a Green/Yellow/Red system for the % of messages they respond to.
It can show a green circle that says "responds very frequently" next to it. This is with 90% initial response rate or higher. 75%-90% can be a yellow circle saying "responds frequently" next to it. And Less than 75% response rate can have a red circle with "responds infrequently". Maybe we can play around with the %s later. But obviously we want to encourage people responding to their messages and I think this mechanism will create the right kind of pressure.
Ie. I send you a message, you respond within 24 hours. It will say "Responded to last message within 24 hours". Until you respond, the days will just keep growing (even though you haven't responded yet).
Some people have received 0 messages. It can say "Send me my first message!" or something like that.
This information can be displayed in their profiles and in the details when you click on their offer/request.
