This is part of the "meeting stuff" which is not yet supported fully. It is on the list, but not top priority.

rstaylor commented 5 years ago

This is critical for anyone using this in a business context as I am. Please bump the priority

jobisoft commented 5 years ago

No resources. Sorry. Maybe end of 2019. The EWS People are back online, so for Business, you may try that again.

rstaylor commented 5 years ago

Which EWS people are those?

jobisoft commented 5 years ago

https://github.com/ExchangeCalendar/exchangecalendar/releases

EWS and EAS (TbSync) are two different protocols, but everything from Microsoft that supports EAS also supports EWS. Mostly.

Can you share an update? Just started using Thunderbird, working in an Exchange environment, so looking for something that works, and working invites would be very nice...

jobisoft commented 4 years ago

No updates on my side, hope to get it done in 2020. If you need the meeting feature, you can try out the owl addon. Not mine and it is a paid addon, but it should do what you seek for.

criterion9 commented 3 years ago

@jobisoft Is there an estimate for when the meeting invite feature-set will become priority? Is there a target funding amount or resource support level that would help to get meeting invite features re-prioritized?

btaroli commented 3 years ago

You may begin getting a lot of inquiries about this soon. A large employer has shifted it's users to Exchange and there is a fairly large contingent of Thunderbird users. We're trying this add-on to save us from Outlook and it seems that it has some (known) issues handling event invitations (sending and receiving).

Any chance we could wake the calendar dragon?
