Currently it's possible to group sources into categories (created in Settings » Browse » [Sources] Edit categories). My first thought was that they will be used in global search (along Pinned - that is default search scope - and All) but it seems it is only utilized in organizing sources.
Adding it here would allow for the generation of less traffic for the sources. Example: when you are searching for western comics you don't need to invoke extensions that offers manga, hentai or longstrips
