Feature request: option to prevent start-up on boot #815

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Power up phone
2. SIPDroid starts up automatically
3. There is no way to prevent it from doing this.

(except to open it and then make it exit, or kill it with an app manager)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Well, this is a feature request, not a bug.

What I'm asking for is an option (maybe "Advanced Options > Load on boot") to
prevent SIPDroid from starting up automatically on boot if desired.

What version of the product are you using? On what device/operating system?

SIPDroid 2.0.1.1 (the one with the "use preferred interface" patch) on T-Mobile
G1 / CyanogenMod 6.1 (froyo 2.2.1)

Which SIP server are you using? What happens with PBXes?

Asterisk (not exactly sure which version) via VPN.

I don't have and don't want a PBXes account, and my company does not want its
Asterisk / VPN details shared with anyone.

Which type of network are you using?

3G / OpenVPN

Please provide any additional information below.

The G1 is an older device. SIPDroid is a great application that works
surprisingly well despite the slower processor and lack of RAM, but this phone
suffers when just about anything uses its precious resources.

Having SIPDroid start up automatically at boot is great for many users who want
it up and running all the time. On the other hand, lots of us only want to use
it occasionally (on the road, for work, etc.) and would prefer to load it only
as needed and keep it from using the phone's resources at other times.

It would be great if there were an option like Settings > Advanced Options >
Load on boot, which could be enabled by default but that those of us using it
only occasionally could disable.

For now every time I reboot the phone I have to manually shut it down. A
little bit annoying, but worth the effort to keep such a useful app. around.

When you exit Sipdroid before rebooting, Sipdroid should not startup on next
boot. The process will load but automatically exit soon thereafter.
