What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.establish a call
2.with the phone near your face, the screen turns off and you cannot hear the
other party
3.move the phone away from your face, the screen turns on and you can now hear
the other party
4.click the home button and bring back the phone near your face and
you can hear the other party (the screen remains on)
5.turn off the screen and you cannot hear the other party

What is the expected output?
Should be able to hear the other party even when the screen is turned off.

What do you see instead?
It seems that the screen when turned off prevents from hearing the other side.

What version of the product are you using?
Version 2.1 beta from the Android store

On what device/operating system?
Android 2.3
Nexus S

Which SIP server are you using?
I use Localhome.com

What happens with PBXes?
I do not use PBXes.org

Which type of network are you using?
Wifi

I have the same problem with Sipdroid 2.3 on my Dell Streak 5, I'm running the
stock firmware '351' version, android 2.2.2.

I am using pbxes.org with my GV account.

I have the exact same experiences with sip2sip.info and pbexes.org, it's the
proximity sensor and when the LCD goes off it does the same thing

the only thing that keeps it from doing it is if you change the wireless
setting to 'screen on' from the sipdroid settings menu for wireless. whether
it's suspending wifi or not I don't know. also, I have no clue if this effects
3g or just wifi because I don't have 3g to test it.
